Efrooh (is Bedouin pronunciation of Afrah, which is plural for Farah, meaning wedding celebrations). Bwadina (also is plural for Badiah, our part, section or territory of the desert). So, the phrase means Weddings or just Celebrations of our Valley.

In presenting this album, I chose three weddings and celebrations of the Egyptian Tribal Bedouins from the North Western Sahara as an introductory point to their personal life style in the 21st Century.

They are still here, all over our deserts and cities. Many of them are integrated into our “Modern Society”, driving Mercedes cars, using mobile phones and some are living in huge properties. But, they have knowledge that many of us have forsaken for the what we call “Modern Technology”. The Bedouins don’t rely on the “Weather Report” to find out if it is going to rain?

They know it by looking at the sky and smelling the air. If they want to go somewhere, they do not use a Satellite Navigation Gadget. They use the stars and planets for their campus. They do not rely on tabloid news paper to inform them about someone’s personality, they know it by looking in his or her eyes. This is an album of music depicting the modern life of the Egyptian Tribal Bedouins life. We are presenting their wedding celebrations. Energetic dance music, driven by the joy of living side by side with nature.

Arranged with you, the dancer in mind.We have also choreographed 5 songs from this album and filmed them on top quality digital video, using a specially designed Bedouin set.

We collaborated with the Shebl Abdallah Bedouin Band and 8 other Bedouin Style Dancers from Egypt. This will be presented on DVD that will be released at a later date.
